Cherifa Kheddar is an Algerian human rights defender and the founder of Djazairouna (Our Algeria), an organization that works to raise awareness about the impact of terrorism in Algeria and provides support to victims of terror.
Ms. Kheddar is a lawyer and she lives and works in Blida, Algeria and is active in the women’s movement. Ms. Kheddar is also a member of the Euro-Mediterranean Foundation of Women, and the recipient of several awards, such as the International Service of Human Rights prize in 2008, and the Elissa/Didon Prize in 2014.
