Maya Yamout is Vice President of Rescue Me, a non-governmental organization focused on violent crimes and violence prevention.
Ms. Yamout and her sister Nancy conducted forensic social field research with two master’s degree research related to extremism. Over the past nine years, they have interviewed more than 90 prisoners in Roumieh prison accused of extremism-related crimes to develop a behavioral analysis profile of these individuals. Rescue Me wishes to create a workshop inside the prison that will help the prisoners learn a craft or profession that will have a positive impact on boosting the economy and help the prisoners establish a small business.
